Meet your instructor
About Valentina Tocco
My name is Valentina Tocco, and I bring a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for education to my role as a Kumon Instructor. I received a classical education, studying Latin, philosophy, maths, and physics, and later completed a Bachelor's degree in Business and Management.
I chose to become a Kumon Instructor because I deeply value the Kumon philosophy of learning. I strongly believe in its emphasis on nurturing independent, confident learners through carefully structured, incremental study. Supporting children in their academic and personal growth has always been central to my professional journey, and I find immense fulfilment in watching students develop into capable, self-assured individuals.
My Kumon journey began in 2014, when I opened the Kumon Cambridge West Study Centre. Since then, I have had the privilege of guiding and supporting many students and families within the local community. Today, I continue this journey in London, where I remain committed to providing the same high standards of guidance, care, and personalised learning.
I have also witnessed the effectiveness of the Kumon Method first-hand through my own children. Through their dedication and consistent effort, they developed confidence, independence, and strong academic ability, which ultimately led them to pursue university studies in Physics and Information Technology.
Both my personal and professional experiences strengthen my commitment to helping every child realise their full potential and develop the skills, resilience, and mindset required for long-term success.
I would be delighted to discuss how the Kumon Method of Learning can benefit your child and look forward to connecting with you soon. By working together, we can positively shape your child's educational journey and help them grow into confident, independent, and capable learners.
